We currently have a vacancy for a Behaviour Support Assistant to provide specialist behaviour management support to staff and students, in order to prevent, minimise and resolve incidents of poor student behaviour through targeted intervention work.

 

The Behaviour Support Assistant will provide an on- call service to teachers responding and resolving incidents of serious disruption to learning swiftly to reply to any requests for support from teaching staff, in order to assist them in dealing with any incidents of challenging behaviour.

 

The successful candidate will be a calm, friendly person with good communication skills and able to demonstrate relevant experience of working with children with challenging behaviour.

CASUAL EXAM INVIGILATORS

HOURS: Part Time

 

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a high level of integrity and attention to detail to join our Exam Invigilators Team on a casual basis.  You will supervise students taking both mock and actual GSCE exams.  Applicants must be prepared to work on a temporary-ad hoc basis (seasonal) during December, March, May and June.

Training will be provided on appointment.

Pay: £11.79 to £13.60 per hour

WELFARE OFFICER (THURSDAYS) 

HOURS: Part Time

 

 

SALARY: GRADE C (£23,115 –  £24,140) PRO RATA

HOURS:  THURSDAYS  7:30am/8:00am – 4:00pm  

                                       + One other day to be agreed

               

 

To ensure we have sufficient cover in our Welfare Office during busy times or periods of staff absence we require a flexible welfare officer to join our team. The postholder will be required to work every Thursday and on an ad-hoc basis to cover staff absence and/or during busy times.  Ideally, we are looking for someone with a current first aid certificate who has good communication skills and some experience of working with young people either in a paid or voluntary capacity.  The postholder will need to remain calm under pressure and display sensitivity and confidentiality when dealing with students and staff.  Some basic word processing skills would be desirable.  Full training will be provided.

COVER SUPERVISOR

HOURS: 32.5 hours per week

We are seeking to recruit a full or part time Cover Supervisors to join our team to cover for absent staff across all subjects.  The role will be to deliver and implement cover lessons across the College.  The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and organised individual with excellent communication skills and a good level of education.  Experience is desirable but not essential and would be an ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to gain in-school experience in advance of applying for School Direct or teacher training placements. The post is available as soon as a suitable candidate can start.
