Wyvern College Results 2026
Wyvern College is celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results, with a significant increase in the proportion of students achieving good grades (9–4), strong grades (9–5) and top grades (9–7) compared with last year. The results reflect strong achievement across academic, vocational and creative subjects.
Students achieved particularly strong results in English and Mathematics, with 80% securing grades 9–4 and 63% achieving grades 9–5. In both subjects, just under 25% of students achieved the top grades of 9–7. At every level, students’ results were above national averages.
This success was also evident across the school’s academic subjects. Twice the national average of students achieved good and strong passes across the full suite of EBacc subjects — English, Mathematics, two Sciences, a humanities subject and a modern foreign language. These results mean that students are well placed to progress to high-quality sixth-form and further education provision.
Students performed equally strongly in the creative subjects, with impressive results in Art, Drama and Music. The proportion achieving top grades (9–7) was 30% in Art, 41% in Drama and an outstanding 58% in Music.
Wyvern College has also continued to expand its range of vocational courses, and it is particularly pleasing to see strong results across these subjects, including several courses receiving results for the first time this year. Students performed well in Health & Social Care, Sports Studies, Creative iMedia, and Enterprise & Marketing, demonstrating the breadth of achievement across the College.
These results are a testament to the hard work, commitment and determination of Wyvern students and staff. We are delighted to celebrate their successes with them and are extremely proud of everything they have achieved.
This has been a brilliant year group. Their outstanding attendance and commitment to revision have been important factors in their success. We wish all of our students every success as they take the next step in their education and hope that they will stay in touch with the College in the years ahead.
We would also like to thank parents and carers for the considerable support they have given to their children and to the College. Their encouragement has played an important role in helping students to achieve their potential.
Finally, these results are a testament to the hard work, expertise and dedication of Wyvern staff, who consistently go above and beyond to provide students with the very best education and opportunities. Whether supporting students to achieve top grades, strong passes, good passes or the qualifications they need to take their next steps, staff have remained committed to helping every student achieve their very best.
